Frequently asked questions
-
Simulario is a hybrid simulation and scenario planning platform that helps you navigate the unknown by turning your data into actionable insights and foresight.
-
It’s as easy as 1-2-answer!
Simply provide your operational data into the pre-built models and click run - that’s it. If you want to test different scenarios, you can change almost any input.
-
I suppose that is the all important question, right?
Your time - especially in the early days - is so precious. There are a million things to do, do you really want to be wasting time trying to figure out the impact from each of your choices, or would you rather have the results on the screen instantly?
We have heard the question, why can’t I just use Excel?
Our response is and will always be, you absolutely can. Excel is undeniably powerful, and for many tasks, it's a fantastic tool. But when it comes to complex scenario planning and simulation modelling that goes far beyond it’s What-If functionality, experience tells us Excel can quickly become unwieldy and time-consuming. We've seen first-hand how easily models in Excel can take upwards of 10 hours – sometimes days – to build and refine. That's valuable time you could be investing in growing your business. Simulario is designed to give you that time back. We offer a pre-built models that streamlines your decision-making, making you and your business more efficient.
Plus, unlike using Excel, we take the burden of model maintenance off your shoulders, ensuring your simulations are always updated with the latest external data.

A simulationis the process of running a mathematical model that represents the relationships between variables within a system, given the assumptions of a particular scenario. It's the engine that takes the scenario inputs and generates outputs (predictions). It's the howto the scenario's what if.
A scenariois a specific, plausible description of a future state. It's a set of assumptions about how key factors (variables) might evolve over a defined period. Think of it as a "story" about a possible future. It's a what if question framed as a narrative.
Example
How many pancakes can I make, and how long will it take, given the ingredients and equipment I have, and potential variations in cooking conditions?
Scenario 1: Standard batch
Scenario 2: Smaller cooking area, same number of ingredients (1/2 size available)
Simulation variables: quantity of ingredients, cooking area size, size of pancakes needed, cooking time
Run the simulation
Scenario 1 Output: 12 pancakes, taking 24 minutes, done in 6 batches.
Scenario 2 Output: 12 pancakes, taking 48 minutes, done in 12 batches.
Our models allow you to change almost any input to help you understand the impact to the desired outputs.
-
Yes. When things are a little more polished, we will be offering both live and recorded demos of the platform.
-
No, the more the merrier. However, there is a limit on the number of admins that are allowed as baseline data for each models should not be updated by any user, but only used as a reference to compare new simulations against. The admin will have the ability to change baseline data which will update the models accordingly.
-
Not at the moment, but we plan to integrate with requested tools you already use, so data is kept up to date automatically. Please tell us which tools you would like us to integrate with.
